The 2015’s provincial conference of environmental protection was held in Changsha on February 6. Liu Yaochen, the director of Environmental Protection Bureau of Hunan Province, made a report about the situation of environment controlling in 2014, informing that 1) the water quality of Xiangjiang River was on the improving trend;2) the average number of days with standard air quality for the city group of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan increased by 7.2%;3)1236 cases against the environmental protection law got penalty for 31.877 million yuan;4)Projects with high energy consumption and heavy pollution were firmly rejected; 5)the number of days with standard air quality was up to 70% of the whole year in 2014.
